Eventually, my father bought a new smartphone, which he also recharged with internet. At that time, I used to recharge BSNL for ₹14, which gave 90MB for 2 days… sounds strange, right?
I got the chance to experiment with it, and that’s when I became more interested in technology. I used to play a lot of offline games, but the first internet-connected online game I ever played was the mighty Clash of Clans.
Around late 2015 or early 2016, some of my friends got into it. They told me about an interesting game called Clash of Clans, so I downloaded it. It took quite a bit of time to install around 70 to 100MB, which was a lot back then. When I opened it, thinking it was an offline game, I turned off the internet, only to see a “No Internet” pop-up. That’s when I realized it wasn’t the typical kind of game I used to play. So, with that little internet left, I deleted it.
A few days later, when I told my friends about it, they said it didn’t consume much data playing for one hour would only take around 1MB. I’m not sure if it was exactly 1MB, but it was very low for that time. So, I started playing it. The graphics and strategic gameplay were really interesting.
Time passed quickly. And now, we move into the main story : The Second Phase: CORONA.
