The Realisation | Chapter 10: Rediscovering Myself

That day, I realized what I truly want. Yes, I want to become rich, but the way I knew was wrong. If that is true, then the people around me who follow the same method should be rich, right? If that is true, then why are they always finding themselves in situations where they have to borrow money or take loans for different things, and end up paying those loans over many years, living their lives without truly experiencing the world?

In my point of view, our Earth is just a grain of sand in the whole universe, and yet many people cannot even explore this tiny grain completely. Why?

I don’t want to be a normal employee like the ones around me. I want to live the life I want to live, not someone else’s. But how? I asked my parents to buy me the book, and they did. But to be honest, they didn’t even know that the Pranav they knew was about to change into someone else. It was just a regular book to them. I have been interested in reading from a young age and have read a lot of books, even finishing books with 1,000 pages in 1–2 weeks by reading for hours. And that day came, the book arrived. I finished it in days, and it blew my mind.

I started learning more about the stock market, investing, and personal finance. I realized that the way to become rich is not the same for everyone; we have to work for ourselves and make money work for us. I dug deeper into the concept of the stock market by watching videos on YouTube. At that time, videos were my main source of learning. They gave me a vague idea; not about how to invest, but about what the stock market actually is.

I started telling my parents that I wanted to invest in the stock market and become rich. I began explaining the concepts from the book to them, but they just ignored me, thinking I was talking nonsense. My father had already tried investing in the stock market and nearly lost some of his money, so he had a bad impression of it. I tried to tell them that it was because we did not learn how to invest properly and were just gambling, and there is a difference between gambling and calculated predictions. But they did not believe in me or my concepts.

I still wanted to learn more, so I tried to find some videos and came across a channel named Sharique Samsudheen, where the Malayali YouTuber teaches the stock market to viewers in a simple way. I started the course.
